Spencer A. Holover, M.D.

Dr. Spencer Holover received his General Surgery
training at St. Barnabas Medical Center in
Livingston, NJ. He then completed a Minimally
Invasive Fellowship with pioneering laparoscopic
surgeon, Dr. Phil Schauer at the University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center. While at the
University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Holover held the
academic appointment of Clinical Professor of
Surgery and performed cutting edge research,
gave presentations at major national meetings,
and helped train future and actively practicing
surgeons. Dr. Holover then went on to train with
Dr. Cadiere in France to perform the new Esophyx
procedure for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
Dr. Holover is one of the first surgeons in the
United States trained to perform the new Esophyx
procedure for gastroesophageal reflux disease.
He has been working with industry to develop new
technolgies in the field of endoluminal surgery
- the newest and least invasive method of
surgery.
